The best time to prepare effectively was indeed when you left the park and began your journey home, taking proactive steps to safeguard yourself and your property against the unpredictable nature of severe weather. Take the necessary precautions to secure your home effectively by covering windows with sturdy materials, turning off utilities to prevent any dangerous situations, and anchoring or bringing in loose outdoor items that could become projectiles in high winds.
