Having experienced numerous hurricanes as both a resident and a dedicated homeowner involved in recovery efforts, I pay much closer attention to hurricanes and their potential impacts on our communities and environments. My experiences have provided me with a deeper understanding of the importance of preparedness and response during such natural disasters.
Currently, it appears Hurricane Erin will spare our community. Unfortunately, until it dissipates, there is always a possibility of getting hit.
